How we handle the personal information you share with us through this website. Effective September 23, 2026.
Who We Are
Bear Valley Solutions Inc. ("Bear Valley Solutions", "we", "us") is an advisory firm based in Calgary, Alberta. We operate bearvalleysolutions.com and are responsible for the personal information collected through it.
We follow the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act. This policy explains what we collect, why, how it is handled, and how to reach us about it.
What We Collect
The only personal information this website asks for is what you choose to give us through the contact form: your name, your email address, the service area you are enquiring about, and your message. You may also provide your organization and phone number, but both are optional.
When you submit the form, our systems also record the date and time, the page it was sent from, your IP address and your browser type. We keep this information with your enquiry so that we can protect the form against automated abuse and investigate misuse if it occurs.
You can browse this website without providing any personal information.
Why We Collect It
We use the information you submit to respond to your enquiry, to route it to the right person on our team, and to follow up on the conversation you started. We do not use it for any other purpose without asking you first.
We do not send marketing email to people who have only contacted us through the form.
How It Is Delivered and Where It Is Kept
A contact form submission is delivered to our team as an email. That email is sent through a third-party email delivery service, which processes the message on our behalf and may store a copy for a limited period under its own retention settings. The email itself is received in our business email system.
This website is hosted on Vercel, a cloud hosting platform. Like most hosting providers, Vercel keeps standard server logs, which can include IP addresses, for security and operations.
Some of these service providers operate outside Canada, including in the United States. While your information is in another country it may be accessible to the authorities of that country under its laws.
The website itself does not keep a database of submissions. What you send us lives in the email it produces.
Analytics and Cookies
We use Vercel Analytics to understand how the site is used, for example which pages are visited and from what kind of device. Vercel Analytics does not use cookies and does not track individual visitors across sites. It gives us aggregate figures, not profiles of people.
This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies.
How Long We Keep It
We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to respond to you and, where a conversation continues, to keep a record of it as part of our normal business records. When an enquiry no longer serves either purpose we delete it.
Who We Share It With
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information.
We share it only with the service providers named above, who process it on our instructions to deliver and host the website, and where the law requires us to disclose it.
Links to Other Websites
This website links to other organizations, including our Nation partners and service providers. Their websites have their own privacy practices, which we do not control. Please read their policies when you visit them.
Your Rights
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@bearvalleysolutions.com and we will respond within a reasonable time, normally within 30 days. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta.
Children
This website is intended for businesses and organizations. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of majority through it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date shown at the top of this page. This version is effective September 23, 2026.
