Technology Systems
Software Development
For the workflows where off-the-shelf software does not fit, and the workaround has quietly become the process.
Capabilities
In Plain Language.
We build web-based tools that a team uses through a browser: no installation, works on a phone, one place where the data lives. Most projects are some combination of a form people fill in, a record that gets tracked, a report that comes out the other end, and a connection to a system that already exists.
Where a project touches an existing system, such as accounting, payroll, a funder's portal or a mapping tool, we integrate rather than replace, unless replacing is genuinely the better answer.
We are deliberately practical about technology choice. The right stack is the one that someone else can maintain after us.
Typical projects
The Kinds of Things We Build.
Tracking and Pipeline Tools
Opportunity pipelines, partner directories and engagement logs: the things currently living in a shared spreadsheet that three people edit at once.
Reporting Automation
Turning the same data into the different report formats different funders require, without rebuilding it each quarter.
Field Data Capture
Forms that work offline in the field and sync when a connection comes back: inspections, site records, attendance.
Integrations
Connecting systems that were never designed to talk to each other, so a record entered once appears everywhere it is needed.
Portals
Member, contractor or partner portals with controlled access to the records relevant to each user.
Internal Dashboards
One screen that answers the questions leadership asks every month, sourced from systems of record rather than re-keyed.
Engagement models
How We Structure the Work.
| Model | Fits When | Shape |
|---|---|---|
| Project | The scope is knowable and the outcome is defined | Fixed scope, milestone-based, with a defined handover |
| Discovery first | The problem is clear but the solution is not | A short discovery phase that produces a scope, an estimate and a clear decision on whether to proceed |
| Retainer | The system is live and needs ongoing change | A recurring block of capacity for enhancements, support and maintenance |
